Speed change
Two speed ranges can be preselected with the speed
change lever.
To change the speed, press the speed change lever and
slide it to the L position for low speed or the H position for
high speed. If the speed change lever does not slide easily,
turn the chuck slightly in either direction while sliding the
lever.
Be sure that the speed change lever is set to the correct
position before operation. Use the right speed for your job.
CAUTION:
Always set the speed change lever fully to the correct
position. If you operate the tool with the speed change
lever positioned halfway, the tool may be damaged.
Do not use the speed change lever while the tool is
running. The tool may be damaged.
Selecting the action mode
This tool has an action mode changing ring.
For rotation with hammering, turn the ring in the direction of
multiple arrow indication.
For rotation only, turn the ring in the direction of single arrow
indication.
CAUTION:
Always turn the change ring fully to your desired mode
mark. If you operate the tool with the ring halfway, the
tool may be damaged.
ASSEMBLY
CAUTION:
Always be sure that the tool is switched off and
unplugged before carrying out any work on the tool.
Installing side grip (auxiliary handle)
Always use the side grip to ensure operating safety. Install
the side grip on the tool barrel. Then tighten the thumb screw
securely at the desired position. It may be swung 360° so as
to be secured at any position.
